Duties and responsibilities: Oriental medicine doctors provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and specialized oriental medicine procedures and treatments for a specified patient population; prescribe herbal and other medications and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions; provides the description and administration of devices, preforms procedures of acupuncture and other related procedures; preforms therapeutic and qi exercises, breathing technique, meditation, and the use of biofeedback devices that utilize heat, cold, color, light, lasers, sound, vibration, pressure, magnetism, electricity, electromagnetic energy and other therapeutic means.

Salary:$61,000

Education: In order to become an oriental medicine doctor you must have a strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community, ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards, knowledge of current and emerging trends in technologies, techniques, issues, and approaches in area of expertise.
