The duties and responsibilities of an ophthalmic technician are to take patient medical history, instruct patients about medication, test, and procedures, preforming various vision and diagnosis test, assisting ophthalmologists with patient procedures, coordinating patient scheduling, supervising and training other ophthalmic assistants.

Education:
If you want to become an Ophthalmic Technician you have to graduate from an accredited Formal Training program, be certified as a COA and work experience, certified as an orthoptist and work experience.

No i would not be an Ophthalmic Technician because it looks like a lot of work.
